A booker

A booker is someone who search for shows for a artist that he have a contract with. A good booker has a lot of relationships in the industry and with programmers that are working for popstages. If you want a lot of shows and you are a artist it is a must that you have a booker. A artist on his own doesn’t have the relationships that a booker has. A booker also does all the paper work for an artist and knows when he will perform. Now De Dichter doesn’t has a real booker but I connected De Dichter with a friend of me and he does a couple of things that a booker is doing. That friend of me (Wouter) knows a lot of programmers because he is also a programmer for a popstage Popcentrale in Dordrecht. That is why he also know how bookers do the things they are doing and how they contact programmers. I don’t think Wouter will arrange many shows but every shows he can arrange is good for De Dichter now. I also arranged that Wouter also will do the bookings for Dion Masé. Wouter already arranger 2 shows for De Dichter and 3 for Dion Masé. The Biggest show he arranged for both is Definitie van Dopeheid in Tilburg. That is a huge Hip-Hop festival with a lot of big names so both of them are really happy with that show.
For De Dichter it is now important he will get shows because people will see him and not to forget it is a income for him.

In Holland you got two big bookers in the Hip-Hop game with the most popular artists. Missin Link and Top Billin. They put their artists everywhere so the artists have a lot of gigs. It is also good for the income off the booker.
