Leren Luisteren released online

Since 7 November ‘Leren Luisteren’ could be bought. We made 500 cd copies that we are selling and now we got like 100 copies left over. The most were sold after the shows De Dichter did. The cd is also sold on the internet site of the co producer from the cd and the DJ of De Dichter Charoon. The website is www.charoonslab.nl . And some stores like Velvet and Platenboef in Rotterdam. Also we give away a couple of copies of Leren Luisteren to some shop owners and people we think that are important to know about the music from De Dichter. Because not everyone knows about De Dichter and we only could sell 500 copies we put the EP on the internet. On 8 February 2010 we did that. We waited like three months to do that because we taught it was to fast to do it directly on 7 November also. We discussed a lot about putting the EP online because Charoon didn’t want to that. He only wanted to sell the cd and first De Dichter also had that opinion. But my arguments were good that first you have to give away free music before people are going to know about you and will support you. After a lot of discussions we decided to do that on 31 January. That was the same day that the website of De Dichter www.dichtermusic.nl would be online. We were pushed back because unfortunately the website couldn’t be online on that day. So we waited for another week. The website was ready on 7 February. After that we wanted to make sure a lot of people could download so the EP must be on different popular websites in Holland and Belgium so people could notice that. We send emails to a lot off (Hip-Hop) websites with our press release so they can put that on their website. Not all the websites put it online but the most did and most of the reactions were positive.
